Meet Orthopedic Hand Specialist, John F. Fatti, M.D.

One of our orthopedic specialists, Dr. John Fatti is founding member of the SOS Hand + Wrist Center. He is a recognized leader in the field of upper-extremity care and his work has been featured in the prestigious Journal of Hand Surgery and the Journal of Bone and Joint Surgery. After graduating from the University of Notre Dame in 1975, Fatti earned his medical degree with distinction from Upstate Medical University, followed by a general surgery Internship at Hartford Hospital. He returned to Upstate Medical University for his orthopedic surgical residency and completed a fellowship in hand surgery at the prestigious New England Baptist Hospital and Tufts New England Medical Center. As a member of the American Board of Orthopedic Surgery with an added certification in hand surgery, he has served hand and wrist pain patients in Central New York since 1986.
Fatti, amongst our esteemed team of orthopedic specialists, has long been a leader in the field having served as the director of the Hand Rehabilitation Program at St. Camillus Health and Rehabilitation Center, Chief of the Orthopedic Department at Crouse Irving Memorial Hospital, and he is currently a clinical professor at Upstate Medical University. He also served both as vice-president and later as president of the broader Syracuse Orthopedic Specialists organization and is currently the president and medical director of our privately owned, state-of-the-art orthopedic hand specialist, surgery center.
